Homeowners Abandon US Gypsum Drywall Case

Law360, New York (August 18, 2010, 5:54 PM EDT) -- Two homeowners have dropped their putative nationwide class action against U.S. Gypsum Co. over allegedly defective U.S.-made drywall.

Judge Louis Guirola Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi signed off on an order dismissing Robert and Sandra Morrison's case against U.S. Gypsum without prejudice Tuesday.

Neither Tuesday's order nor the motion to dismiss that the Morrisons filed Monday shed any light on their reasons for dismissing the case. The Morrisons' attorney, Dewitt Lovelace, did not immediately respond to a query about...
