Damages Issues Narrowed In SAP, Oracle Suit

Law360, New York (August 18, 2010, 4:20 PM EDT) -- The federal judge overseeing Oracle International Corp.'s lawsuit against SAP AG over alleged copyright infringement by its now-defunct TomorrowNow Inc. subsidiary has narrowed the damages-related issues in the case as the trial date approaches.

In a ruling issued Tuesday, Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California partially denied and partially granted the parties' opposing summary judgment motions, trimming the damages discussion and granting judgment as to some of Oracle's infringement claims based on a recent SAP trial brief...
