US Shrimp Cos. File Suit Over Revoked Duty Order

Law360, New York (August 19, 2010, 12:39 PM EDT) -- A coalition of U.S.-based shrimp producers has filed a new complaint over the U.S. Department of Commerce's recent decision to revoke an anti-dumping duty order on shrimp exported by India's Devi Sea Foods Ltd., arguing that the regulator failed to properly assess the company's financial transactions.

The Ad Hoc Shrimp Trade Action Committee lodged the suit Wednesday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, asking the court to remand Commerce's fourth administrative review of the current anti-dumping duty order covering certain frozen warmwater shrimp from India....
