Ex-Ernst & Young Atty Settles SEC Insider Trading Suit

Law360, New York (August 19, 2010, 7:26 PM EDT) -- A former Ernst & Young LLP attorney imprisoned for improperly sharing insider knowledge of corporate mergers has agreed to settle a related civil suit by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The SEC noted Thursday that Judge P. Kevin Castel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York has signed off on settlements of the insider trading allegations, entering final judgments against former Ernst & Young attorney James E.
