Bar Association To Study Retirement Policies At Firms

Law360, New York (February 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a sign of growing concern over alleged age discrimination at law firms, the New York State Bar Association has set up a special committee to study the issue.

The committee will look into employment such as mandatory retirement policies, with the objective of recommending possible policy reforms or best practices.

The special committee will be chaired by Mark Zauderer of Flemming Zulack Williamson Zauderer, a seasoned litigator who currently serves as President-Elect of the Federal Bar Council.
