Couple Wins $1.5M Verdict In Hernia Patch Bellwether

Law360, New York (August 24, 2010, 2:06 PM EDT) -- A jury has awarded $1.5 million to a North Carolina couple injured by allegedly defective hernia patches, but won't get the chance to impose punitive damages, according to a federal judge overseeing multidistrict litigation against C.R. Bard Inc. and a subsidiary.
