Toyota Recalls 1.1M Corollas Over Engine Defect

Law360, New York (August 26, 2010, 5:17 PM EDT) -- Toyota Motor Corp. on Thursday announced a recall of 1.13 million Toyota Corolla and Corolla Matrix vehicles to address problems with their engine control modules, adding to the millions of other vehicles the beleaguered automaker has recalled in recent months.

Toyota said that the voluntary safety recall will involve 2005 to 2008 model year Toyota Corolla and Corolla Matrix cars sold in the U.S., which have engine control modules that may have been improperly manufactured.
