Apple Hits Kodak With $1B Suit Over Digital Camera IP

Law360, New York (August 27, 2010, 1:02 PM EDT) -- In response to infringement allegations, Apple Inc. has accused Eastman Kodak Co. of usurping digital camera technology and aggressively asserting related patents in breach of confidentiality agreements, reaping $1 billion in the process.

According to a complaint filed Wednesday in the Superior Court of the State of California in Santa Clara County, Kodak filched Appleā€™s pioneering digital camera architecture after the computer goliath approached the defendant in the early 1990s about commercializing the prototype.
