Dreier Ch. 7 Trustee Seeks To Ax Clients' $6M Claim

Law360, New York (August 30, 2010, 5:47 PM EDT) -- The Chapter 7 trustee for Marc Dreier, the incarcerated founder of Dreier LLP, has asked the bankruptcy court to disallow claims made by two former clients for $6.3 million that Dreier allegedly stole after orchestrating a bogus settlement between them and an investment manager.

The trustee filed a motion Friday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York maintaining that the ex-Dreier clients, Alex Interactive Media LLC and Paul Gardi, are not entitled to the funds because they disavow the underlying settlement....
