Supreme Court Denies Writ In UAL Case

Law360 (February 21, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday declined to hear a case in which UAL Corp. employees alleged that the fiduciary of the company’s employee stock ownership plan breached its duty in the days before the airline declared bankruptcy in 2002.

The plaintiffs filed a petition of writ in September 2006 in the hopes of appealing a decision issued by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit that dismissed their claims against State Street Bank & Trust Co.
