Old GM Files Plan To Wrap Up Bankruptcy

Law360, New York (September 1, 2010, 5:02 PM EDT) -- The former General Motors Corp. has filed a proposed liquidation plan designed to push forward the process of unwinding those of its assets that remain in bankruptcy court.

The plan filed late Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York for “Old GM,” or Motors Liquidation Co., as the entity still in bankruptcy is now known, outlines what the company says is a framework to resolve the remaining challenges of “one of the most complex Chapter 11 cases in U.S. history.”...
