6th Circ. Says Gannett Unit Wrongly Fired Receptionist

Law360, New York (September 2, 2010, 3:33 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has reversed a lower court decision that favored Gannett Satellite Information Network Inc.'s The Dickson Herald Group, finding that the company had shirked its duties under the Family and Medical Leave Act and improperly fired a receptionist for failing to comply with the company's attendance policies.
