BP CEO Deposition Delayed In Refinery Explosion Case

Law360, New York (February 22, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The deposition of the chief executive of BP Plc has been delayed in a negligence case brought after 15 were killed and 170 injured at a Texas City refinery, leading to hundreds of lawsuits filed on behalf of BP employees.

Brent Coon, a plaintiff’s lawyer who was to depose CEO Lord John Browne Friday, said discussions were continuing with BP's general counsel regarding the details of the deposition. "At this point, nothing has been finalized," Coon said Thursday.
