Sonnenschein Removed In BDO Tax Evasion Case

Law360, New York (September 7, 2010, 4:47 PM EDT) -- A judge has disqualified Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP from representing Denis Field, the former CEO of BDO Seidman LLP, who is fighting charges that he helped run a scheme to sell illegal tax shelters.

Judge William Pauley of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York granted a motion by the U.S. that bars Sonnenschein from defending Field because the firm has also agreed to represent Adrian Dicker, a cooperating witness in the case and Field's former colleague.
