BP Settles Refinery Explosion Claims

Law360, New York (February 23, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two employee lawsuits against British Petroleum Plc that had been slated for trial next week in a Texas state court have been settled, though hundreds of claims stemming from a deadly explosion at the British oil giant’s Texas City refinery remain outstanding.

The terms of the settlements, which resolve the claims of two BP workers who suffered back injuries as a result of the explosion, were confidential.
