6th Circ. Nixes $20.5M Verdict In Welding Fumes MDL

Law360, New York (September 8, 2010, 5:24 PM EDT) -- Citing speculative expert testimony, a federal appeals court on Wednesday overturned a $20.5 million verdict handed to a couple as part of a multidistrict litigation that claims Lincoln Electric Co. and others failed to warn that exposure to fumes from welding products could cause neurological injury.
