Oracle, NetApp Settle Feud Over Data Storage Patents

Law360, New York (September 9, 2010, 1:48 PM EDT) -- Information technology rivals Oracle Corp. and Network Appliance Inc. have agreed to put down their dukes in long-running patent litigation over each other's data storage technology.

Oracle and NetApp on Wednesday asked Magistrate Judge Elizabeth D. Laporte of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California — who is overseeing three intertwined lawsuits — to sign off on a confidential settlement, putting to rest three years of litigation.
