DC Circ. Temporarily Lifts Stem Cell Funding Ban

Law360, New York (September 9, 2010, 5:53 PM EDT) -- An appellate court ruling has temporarily stayed a preliminary injunction barring the federal government from funding human embryonic stem cell research.

In an order issued Thursday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit nixed a lower court’s Aug. 23 order prohibiting the funding, granting an emergency motion by the Department of Justice to lift the ban.
