Class Actions Pile Up Against LCD Makers

Law360, New York (February 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- At least 80 class actions have been filed in U.S. federal courts against LCD makers since the launch late last year of a global investigation into allegations of price-fixing in the market.

The consumer complaints have been flooding in since a mid-December announcement that the European Commission had joined the U.S. Department of Justice and the Korean and Japanese Fair Trade Commissions in probing possible cartel behavior in the industry.
