Abbott Hits Teva With Another Suit Over Generic Simcor

Law360, New York (September 10, 2010, 12:48 PM EDT) -- Abbott Laboratories has stepped up its patent infringement battle against generic-drug maker Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. over efforts to introduce a copycat version of cholesterol treatment Simcor.

Abbott filed suit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, where it also has suits pending against several drugmakers that have proposed generic versions of Simcor and Niaspan, a component of Simcor.
