Wells Fargo, Old Republic End Loan Coverage Spat

Law360, New York (September 13, 2010, 6:24 PM EDT) -- Wells Fargo Bank NA has dropped its suit accusing Old Republic Insurance Co. of wrongly denying it coverage for losses resulting from insured loans that were in default before the bank's merger with Wachovia Mortgage FSB.

Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton signed off on the stipulation and order of dismissal in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Thursday, ending the suit with prejudice with each side agreeing to pay its own attorneys' fees and costs.
