NTSB Begins Probe Of Fatal Calif. Gas Pipeline Blast

Law360, New York (September 10, 2010, 6:00 PM EDT) -- The National Transportation Safety Board has launched an investigation into the explosion of a Pacific Gas & Electric Co. natural gas pipeline that killed at least four people and destroyed dozens of homes in a suburb of San Francisco.

The NTSB, which is responsible for investigations of pipeline failures, said Friday that it had created a team to investigate the Thursday rupture, naming Ravi Chhatre as the investigator in charge of the team.
