Skadden Advises Paetec In $460M Cavalier Purchase

Law360, New York (September 13, 2010, 6:36 PM EDT) -- Paetec Holding Corp. on Monday announced plans to acquire regional competitor Cavalier Telephone Corp. in an all-cash $460 million transaction, aiming to boost its fiber optics infrastructure and solidify its presence in the eastern U.S.

Both companies provide similar business telecommunications services, including landline voice and data services, communications management software, and network security solutions. Paetec said that the synergistic possibilities made Cavalier an attractive target.
