Senate Begins Impeachment Trial For Judge Porteous

Law360, New York (September 14, 2010, 5:36 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate has begun impeachment proceedings against Eastern District of Louisiana Judge G. Thomas Porteous Jr., kicking off the weeklong trial with testimony from two attorneys and a bail bondsman accused of bribing Porteous to curry favor before the federal court.
