Delphi Reaches Settlement Over Patent Deal

Law360, New York (February 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A bankruptcy judge has given the green light to a $7.5 million settlement between Delphi Corp. and a small technology company that fought back after its patent license agreement with the auto parts maker was rejected earlier in the proceedings.

The approval by Judge Robert D. Drain in Manhattan Bankruptcy Court was framed as a victory by technology developer InPlay Technologies Inc., which initially sought $9 million from Delphi over a licensing deal penned in 2000.
