Insurers Face Class Actions Over Hurricane Damage

Law360, New York (February 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Three big-name insurers have been hit with separate class action lawsuits for allegedly failing to provide some Floridians with proper coverage for roof damage sustained as a result of the hurricanes and other natural disasters that have plagued the area in recent years.

On Tuesday, the Hurricane Law Group announced that it had commenced class action suits against Allstate Floridian Insurance Co., Citizens Property Insurance Corp. and State Farm Florida Insurance Co., charging the trio with negligence and shorting their clients.
