Machinists Take To Courts In US Air Row

Law360, New York (February 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A union representing machinists has hit US Airways with a lawsuit in hopes of forcing the airline into arbitration to settle a long-standing dispute over whether the employees are owed higher wages.

On Monday, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, trying to thwart US Airway’s attempt to wriggle out of the proceedings that were scheduled to begin that day.
