White House Lays Out Plan To Double U.S. Exports

Law360, New York (September 16, 2010, 7:15 PM EDT) -- The Obama administration outlined a plan Thursday to double U.S. exports over the next five years by upping trade missions, increasing export financing, negotiating new trade agreements and helping U.S. companies enter new markets.

Six months after launching the National Export Initiative, President Barack Obama told members of the President's Export Council that, “despite some strong economic headwinds this year,” the effort has seen some progress.
