Novartis MDL Plaintiffs Seek To Lift Protective Order

Law360, New York (September 16, 2010, 5:27 PM EDT) -- Plaintiffs are looking to scrap the protective order in multidistrict litigation alleging Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. failed to warn patients that bone cancer drugs Aredia and Zometa could cause their jawbones to deteriorate.

Weeks after being scolded by a magistrate judge for abusing the practice of filing documents under seal, the plaintiffs steering committee responded that it was trying to comply with the court’s protective order, but said it was time to set that protective order aside in its entirety, according to a filing in the U.S....
