Federal Circuit Rules For TV Makers In Suit Over V-Chip Technology

Law360 (August 12, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has affirmed a lower court’s ruling that cleared a large group of television manufacturers of infringing a patent for V-chip technology held by Acacia Research Corp.’s subsidiary Soundview Technologies.

The ruling has not been reported by the U.S. Court of Appeals Federal Circuit yet, but was described in a press release issued Thursday by Acacia.
