Grating Maker Fights Dumping, Countervailing Duties

Law360, New York (September 17, 2010, 12:57 PM EDT) -- Yantai Xinke Steel Structure Co. Ltd. has filed twin suits challenging, respectively, a 137 percent anti-dumping duty and a 62 percent countervailing duty the U.S. Department of Commerce placed on its steel grating products, markups the Chinese company's counsel has characterized as “absurd.”

Each of the determinations, which Commerce issued July 23, is arbitrary and capricious, according to complaints filed Thursday in the U.S. Court of International Trade.
