5th Circ. Affirms Win For AT&T Unit In IP Contract Spat

Law360, New York (September 20, 2010, 12:56 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has upheld a decision to let AT&T Inc. unit Ingenio Inc. off the hook for alleged breach of a patent licensing agreement over anonymous voice communication technology, but asked the lower court to determine if the defendant owes royalties for the period before it terminated the deal.
