Adobe Photoshop Plug-In Violates Patents, Suit Claims

Law360, New York (September 20, 2010, 6:16 PM EDT) -- An editing tool for Adobe Systems Inc.'s Photoshop application willfully infringes two patents assigned to EveryScape Inc., according to a suit filed Monday by the online map provider.

EveryScape lodged the complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, claiming Adobe's Vanishing Point feature — available in the Creative Suite 2, 3, 4 and 5 versions of Photoshop — infringes patents covering the plaintiff's Mok3 Perspective Clone Brush, a similar plug-in for the industry standard graphics program.
