SEC Targets Lawyer Over Mak 1 Ponzi Scheme

Law360, New York (September 22, 2010, 5:35 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has accused San Diego attorney Gustav George Bujkovsky of helping his client Mak 1 Enterprises Group LLC and its owner defraud investors of millions through a currency-trading Ponzi scheme.

The complaint, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, claims that Bujkovsky should have known that Mak 1 was operating an unregistered and probably fraudulent securities offering and helped to conceal those issues from some investors.
