Chevron Wins Bid To Depose Consultant In Enviro Suit

Law360, New York (September 22, 2010, 5:42 PM EDT) -- Chevron Corp. has won permission to conduct limited discovery of a scientific consultant it accuses of wrongfully withholding information relevant to its efforts to fight a multibillion-dollar environmental lawsuit in Ecuador.

Magistrate Judge Joe B. Brown of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee partially granted the oil giant's request Tuesday, but limited discovery to issues not covered by attorney-client or work product privileges.
