Lerach Thrown Off Halliburton Securities Case

Law360, New York (March 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a securities fraud class action against Halliburton Co., a federal judge has granted the lead plaintiff’s request to remove Scott + Scott LLC and Lerach, Coughlin, Stoia, Geller, Rudman & Robbins LLP from the case in favor of Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP.

At the same time, Judge Barbara Lynn of the U.S. District Court in Dallas rejected Lerach’s motion to replace the lead plaintiff, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Supporting Fund Inc., with three other lead co-plaintiffs.
