Hess Accused Of Violations At Petroleum Facility

Law360, New York (March 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A New York environmental agency has served integrated oil company Hess Corp. with a complaint, threatening to shut down its petroleum terminal in Brooklyn for alleged violations.

Hess said Thursday the complaint from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) requested an order for unspecified penalties against Hess over problems stemming from the conditions of its petroleum tanks, according to the company’s annual report filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
