WaMu Creditors Sue Bank Brass Over Pay

Law360, New York (September 27, 2010, 12:54 PM EDT) -- Unsecured creditors in the Washington Mutual Inc. case have launched suits against dozens of current and former top employees at the bankrupt financial giant seeking to win back — or avoid paying — bonuses, severances and other obligations ranging in value from $60,000 to more than $2.2 million.

Friday's salvo of 27 complaints, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, came after bankruptcy judge Mary Walrath earlier this month granted unsecured creditors leave to go after the money.
