US Poultry Group Balks At Chinese Duties On Chicken

Law360, New York (September 27, 2010, 4:39 PM EDT) -- A leading trade group for U.S. poultry exporters has threatened to appeal stiff tariffs China has imposed on chicken products from the United States, arguing that the industry has become the target of an unrelated trade dispute.

The USA Poultry & Egg Export Council on Monday condemned the Chinese Ministry of Commerce’s decision to hit a wide range of U.S. chicken products with anti-dumping duties as high as 105 percent, calling the results of the ministry’s dumping review unfair.
