La. Mayor Charged With Extortion, Taking Bribes

Law360, New York (September 30, 2010, 11:58 AM EDT) -- The mayor of St. Gabriel, La., has been indicted on charges he solicited and took bribes in exchange for using his position to influence real estate transactions and support a contract for a conceptual waste cleaning project.
