Chinese Exporter Challenges DOC's Duties On Ribbon

Law360, New York (September 30, 2010, 4:04 PM EDT) -- A Chinese exporter has sued the United States over its recent anti-dumping order on narrow woven ribbon, saying the U.S. Department of Commerce used an unfair method to calculate the duties.

Yangzhou Bestpak Gifts & Crafts Co. Ltd. wants the DOC to reconsider its final determination on narrow woven ribbons from China, which imposed a 123.83 percent duty on many Chinese ribbon exporters on Sept. 1, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. Court of International Trade.
