BAX Global, Others To Pay $50M For Cargo Price-Fixing

Law360, New York (September 30, 2010, 3:30 PM EDT) -- Six international freight-forwarding companies — including BAX Global Inc. and Kuehne & Nagel International AG — have agreed to plead guilty to fixing prices for air cargo shipments and pay a total of $50.3 million in criminal fines, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Thursday.

In separate criminal informations filed against each company Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, prosecutors allege that each freight forwarder took part in one or more price-fixing conspiracy between 2002 and 2007.
