Calif. Court Could Reinstate Union Trespass Law

Law360, New York (October 1, 2010, 4:02 PM EDT) -- California's high court will consider reinstating state law that makes it virtually impossible for companies to stop peaceful union members from picketing on their private property.

The Supreme Court of California on Wednesday granted a petition to review an intermediate appeals court decision that overturned two state labor laws preventing courts from enjoining union picketing on private property and made it easier for companies to throw unions off their land.

The appeals court's ruling has been “depublished” during the Supreme Court review.
