Kirkland & Ellis Race Discrimination Suits Pile Up

Law360, New York (March 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Another woman has filed a lawsuit against Kirkland & Ellis LLP alleging race and age discrimination, after three similar suits were filed last month.

In the suit, filed Feb. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Thadiece Y. Perkins alleges she was denied opportunities and treated differently because she was black and over the age of 40. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, attorneys’ fees and costs.
