High Court Considers Bounds Of Effective Defense

Law360, New York (October 12, 2010, 5:48 PM EDT) -- The state of California on Tuesday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse a decision granting habeas corpus to a convicted murderer, saying the ruling would effectively require criminal defense attorneys to consult experts in all cases or face legal malpractice.
