Gucci, Card Processors Settle Fight Over Counterfeits

Law360, New York (October 5, 2010, 3:07 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has approved final settlements resolving Gucci America Inc.'s claims that credit card processors infringed its trademarks by doing business with a company that admitted selling counterfeit Gucci items.

Judge Harold Baer Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York approved two separate settlement agreements Friday, the first dismissing claims against Frontline Processing Corp. and the second imposing injunctions against Woodforest National Bank and Durango Merchant Services LLC.
