HHS Ordered To Revise Toxicology Profiling RFP

Law360, New York (October 4, 2010, 4:12 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has ordered the Department of Health and Human Services to reconsider its refusal to award multiple contracts in a request for proposal on a toxicological profiling project.

Biomedical contracting firm Information Ventures Inc. was right to protest the solicitation as unfair under the Federal Acquisition Regulation, which requires agencies to favor multiple awards under indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity, or IDIQ, contracts, the GAO announced in a four-page decision.
