Edco Settles DOC's China Export Violation Claims

Law360, New York (October 4, 2010, 12:35 PM EDT) -- Steel manufacturer Edco Inc. and President Mark Vorobik have agreed to pay the U.S. government more than $100,000 to resolve allegations that the company violated export administration regulations in its shipment of a saw system to China.

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security on Thursday released two orders revealing that it had entered into separate settlement agreements requiring the company and Vorobik to each pay a $52,000 civil penalty.
