Judge Declines To Overturn Vioxx Jury Verdict

Law360 (March 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has rejected a family’s bid to overturn a jury ruling that let Merck & Co. off the hook in one of the thousands of Vioxx suits Merck currently faces.

On Monday, Judge Carol Higbee upheld the jury’s ruling, deeming the family of Brian Hermans ineligible to collect monetary compensation as a result of his death.
