Chase Says Ex-Adviser Took Clients To Morgan Stanley

Law360, New York (October 5, 2010, 7:00 PM EDT) -- A unit of JPMorgan Chase & Co. has filed a suit alleging former financial adviser William White and his new employer Morgan Stanley Smith Barney are stealing clients using the investment bank's confidential information, in violation of an employment agreement.

Chase Investment Services Corp. filed suit Monday in the New York County Supreme Court, asking the court to block both White and Morgan Stanley from any further contact with Chase customers while it pursues arbitration before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, as required under the terms...
